If one man can show this much hate, think how much love we can show together.
Friday 22nd of July 2011 is a day Norway never will forget. The whole nation has been in deep sorrow since the horrible terror attack in Oslo and massacre at Utøya that cost 76 innocent lives. R.I.P. I was traveling by bus to the airport 10 min after the first attack on Friday. I saw shattered windows nearby the area of the bomb explosion and didn’t understand what had happened. We saw 5 minutes of the news at the airport, took the phone calls to assure our loved ones that we were safe, before we had to catch our flight. One hour afterwards we landed at Kristiansund, checked the news and was met with even more chock. After three days of practically non-stop news watching, the words are still few, the chock is slowly sinking in and most important, the love all around in the whole nation is arising as never before. I’ve never been more proud to be a Norwegian as I am now. One small country in one deep sorrow, gathered together in solidarity for a hope of a stronger and better future.
