Hovefestivalen 2010

Ok, it’s time for a wrap. Hove was the shit. I came home with over 500 photos on my memory card, 155 photos published in one album on Facebook, plus minus the photos my friends shot. Here’s a collage of some of our moments in Arendal and at Hovefestivalen. I will miss you. See you next year!

Bye Bye Arendal

Tuesday, July 6th, 2010

Left Arendal city with a teary eye on Sunday. I’m going to miss the lazy sunny days, waking up to a house full of hungover but happy faces, expanding my life with 50 years extra due to constant laughter, the inside jokes, the cold beers every hour of the day, the pool in our garden, the concerts who blew me away, the boys holding my hand, enjoying the sunrise to a glass of cava and good company and all in all the good times.

Natalieology has gone into Arendal/Hove modus. Expect a few more posts, and it will return to normal soon.

Hove Day Four

Sunday, July 4th, 2010

Photos: Private

Last day of Hovefestivalen on Friday ended with a BAM! A night full of fun, amongst other Vampire Weekend, Hello Kitty Pez frenzy, Karpe Diem, new silk trousers soaked in beer, Arcade Fire, inside jokes beyond inside jokes, Fuck Buttons and of course my best girls. Now I’m not touching alcohol for a few days.

Hove Day Three

Friday, July 2nd, 2010

I forgot to report day two. Probably too busy having fun with Biffy Clyro, Florence + The Machine, Dizzie Rascal and Simian Mobile Disco. ;) Day three went naturally down yesterday. I even found a fellow yellow with similar denim vest. Woop!

Hove Day One

Wednesday, June 30th, 2010

First day at Hovefestivalen consisted of beer, hanging out, concerts (duh!), candy, dirty shoes, rainbow nails and what not. And yeah, I think I got a crush on Ellie Goulding after her concert. Wow. Muse live wasn’t that bad either and Empire of the Sun had the coolest show yet.

Dog Days Are Over

We arrived Arendal city yesterday and was pretty much in heaven. Happy as a clam all ten girls and boys. Right now Ingri and I are chillaxin’ in the garden while the others are at the beach. Latest additions to my festival wardrobe are royal blue bandeau sandals and yellow nail polish. In the spirit of Sweden, indeed. Barbecue party at our place later. Stop by and say hi! ;)

See You When I See You

I’m taking the weekend off with a get a way to Oslofjorden with a few friends. Hello cabin and boat life, hi chillaxin’ and drinking and hopefully hey sun! I thought you might miss me during these days, so here’s my face x 4. Enjoy your weekend! ;)

Dancing On My Own

Tuesday, June 15th, 2010

Photos: Private

I’m just gonna dance all night. I’m all messed up, I’m so out of line. Stilettos and broken bottles. I’m spinning around in circles. I keep dancin’ on my own.

Very last minute and improvised outfit from Saturday night out. I started out with the vertical stockings in navy and the rest just went with it. Layered my red tube dress with a white bow short sleeved blouse and topped with navy blazer with gold buttons.

To be honest, the photos above are from the morning after. No directly walk of shame here. Believe it or not. Ingri, Fredrik and I ended up at a corner right by their neighborhood recruiting strangers passing by to our spontaneously after-party at a random spot outside which lasted from 4 am to 7 am. The best thing about the whole concept was that lots of people joined during those hours and we met a few priceless people. All in all an epic night.

Now I’m going to stop talking about the weekend and dance to ‘Robyn – Dancing On My Own‘ until I get tired of the song. Wont happen, actually!

Hello Summer

Sunday, June 6th, 2010

Recently came home from the park after flashing my white legs in public. Luckily everyone was wearing sunglasses! Now I have to jump into something more Sunday night suitable and get my booty to pre-party and my weekly dose of Footfood at Skaugum. Busy summer days filled with laidback fun are the best days!

F12

In the chaos of reading, packing, moving and everything, I sort of spontaneously ended up out with the Stockholm girls last night at F12 Terrassen. If Sundays are the new Saturdays, then Mondays are the new Sundays here. Fun fun fun! A random guy took my arm and gave me kudos for my Hermès Clic-Clac bracelet. Stuff like that only happens here in Stockholm where all the boys are either indie kids or Chuck Bass replicas. Not that I’m saying it’s a bad thing, because I’m lovin’ their style and they obviously do their fashion homework keeping up on the accessory front.

Speaking of accessories, I just wanted to tell you that I love my new earrings. Reminds me of Monies Jewelery which is awesome. Not recommended for heavy dance moves and head banging though, the ear flips easily get carried away.

Business Time

Saturday started out with hell at work and ended up with spontaneous fun a la Natalie. Spontaneously both outfit and activity wise. Decided last minute to test out the new coral feather earrings and the rest of the outfit just went with it consisting of beige corset-bustier, black lace tank, black bubble skirt and my beloved pep-toe wedges.

Socially, I met someone who was briefly home who I haven’t seen in months, bounced from barbecue party to hotel party to bruising my knee so hard that one of my shoes flew off on our way to the club and then dancing the blood and pain away, then getting photo shot by a stranger on my way home and the rest is fun history. So was yesterday and today, now it’s time for a week back in business and seriousness before I’m signing off commitments for the summer.

Butterflies And Hurricanes

Woop woop in tha hood! Against all odds I’m still alive and happy as a clam. The lousy updates are due to some busy days that I hear is quite normal amongst people with lives. Honestly, I have barely been sober since Friday to this morning (so Norwegian) thanks to birthdays, spontaneous fun, cake party at my place consisting of home made cupcakes with frosting and sprinkles, buns and mint chip ice cream chocolate cake, Footfood and the National Day of Norway starting with the traditional champagne breakfast and keeping it going from morning to dawn. Photos above are from Sunday – the rest totally happened!

I’m On A Boat

Saturday, May 15th, 2010

Photos: Private

Last night was the yearly theme birthday party of the May trio. The theme this year was hats/headgear. Ingri and I made our own by plastic boats and headbands and matched with maritime inspired outfits. The only thing we were missing was The Lonely Island – I’m On A Boat as an entrance song. Great success and lots of fun. After all break dancing and laughing so loud that the neighbors threatened to call the police were parts of the night. Mind the poses and pouts, I’m probably singing to Justin Bieber – Baby as usually after too many drinks.

Hound’s Tooth Check

Sunday, May 9th, 2010

Recently had to say goodbye to my favorite houndstooth patterned tights above when they suddenly had an unwillingly french opening. Got them in a goodie bag in February and they have been frequently used to plain outfits since then. Tights rarely last forever unless you just keep them out of use and in your drawer. Tights and stockings are probably on top on my list of consumption – after food and alcohol of course. Had ambitions to skip drinking and partying this weekend, but then I went to a three course dinner with wine yesterday and the party mood was suddenly very fine. Shit happens. Fun happens! ;)

Baby Baby Baby Oooh

Say hello to my new boyfriend a.k.a Asian Balloon. His body is missing, in return his head shape is very much hot. I forced the whole birthday party to dance to ‘Justin Bieber – Baby‘ with mixed success so we initiated limbo instead and later ended up at the floor doing the row row row your boat dance, but that’s another censored story. On top of blue lollipops that made my tongue so blue that only Asian Balloon wanted to make out with me, I ate the coolest cake ever.

May Day

Saturday, May 1st, 2010

This May 1st  Saturday goes in the books of one of the most perfect days ever. Just came home from dinner at Aker Brygge with my favorite people. Now I have to change clothes and continue the alcohol consumption at a birthday party. Smell you later!

Spring Time

Monday, April 26th, 2010

Photo: Private

Lately I’ve been wearing glasses, made new friends, drunk too much cava, been to places I shouldn’t had visit, made a home video at 4 am on the way to the after-party, laughed my ass off, came home with souvenirs from the streets, “walked of shame” to the store on Sunday morning to buy ice cream, started drinking again and fell asleep after a couple of gin and tonics  and missed the summer opening of my favorite Sunday party concept. In other words, it’s officially spring! Choo-choo, I’m back on the fun train!

Simply Spring

Springtime means sunglasses and simple outfits. My beloved Dior Aviator sunglasses are finally at it use again this season. Today was my fourth day in a row spent at Aker Brygge enjoying the sun with a cup or glass of something refreshing. It’s important to enjoy it while we still can!
