Tight Tigers

After browsing through Tight Tigers 2010 I suddenly felt an instant urge to own a long robe covered in graphics or funky colors. Unfortunately, I have to crave for a pair of longer legs as well and I don’t think I have the ability to be that patience. Probably for the best, because if I wore my glasses along with a robe I would feel totally Harry Potter gone fashionista style.

Balenciaga Classic

The Balenciaga Classic bag in straw is the perfect summer bag. I like how they used the details from the Motorcycle bags. Miroslava Duma looks great in this summer-ish outfit, even as a pregnant woman she pulls off her great style. And she obviously really loves her Ray-Ban Persols – don’t know the last time I’ve seen her with sunglasses and without them.

Randomly stumbled upon Simply Hayley Ann‘s blog and instantly fell in love with her long beautiful hair along with her perfectly cute style! The quirky color combos are very my cup of Long Island Ice Tea. You can’t even start imagine how envy I am of her sailor dress. Too cute!

On Monday I’m in love with Jane’s from Sea of Shoes rainbow pedicure. Not to mention her chandelier shoes by Prada. Pretty feet are happy feet.

Stella McCartney SS2010

If I was to dress in one designer this spring I would definitely be the much blogged about Stella McCartney Spring/Summer 2010 woman. No doubt. I’m doing my own inspiration take on one of the outfits above today. Can you guess which one? Now I’m off for dinner just down the street. Smell you later!

Combination Of The Two

Love the simple combination of bleached denim shorts and preppy striped shirt Miroslava Duma is wearing to the left. Totally down my alley! Effortlessly classy-chic is my favorite.

Showroom Day

Thursday, April 22nd, 2010

Today between work out this morning and work later in the afternoon, I went to Patriksson Communcations, Spalt PR and Gambit H&K showrooms to see the fall/winter collections up close. A pleasant and fun day with some beautiful, some interesting, some ok items to touch and look at, yummy food and drinks, nice people and even some sunshine.

Favorites of the day:

Carin Wester shoes and accessories. I could live with the clothes in my wardrobe too. So many cravings!

Veronica B. Vallenes patterns, cuts, fabrics and pieces were more my cup of tea than expected. I’m awful at catching up on Norwegian design, but this was fabulous simplicity!

This awesome hat by Filippa K has the perfect contrast and shape.

Geeky-cool glasses by Marc Jacobs and Yves Saint Laurent.

Maria posing with some übercool Marc Jacobs shades in red pattern.

The girls at Spalt PR blowing bubbles bubbles bubbles.

Customized Moet & Chandon champagne with tiny surprises to go with inside the gold orbs.

Eva looking fantastic as always in a jungle inspired color palette.

Spotted this remarkable quilted Chanel backpack on a stylish person who Maria recently blogged about.

Shoes and accessories for guys by Gant I wouldn’t mind dressing my boyfriend in.

Lady In Red

Today I got credz by the Swedes for wearing and having more color in my wardrobe. Apparently, that’s nothing compared to this bold outfit of Miroslava Duma. She looks so fierce in all red from top to toe with simple black accessories. Some people just got it. I would probably look like a construction worker or a russ all over again.

Karla Spetic

Wow, I just found a new favorite Australian designer. Where have you been all my life? The Karla Spetic Autumn Winter 2010 Collection is perfectly my taste. I love the color palette (the mix of pastels with unexpected colors), the cuttings of the outerwear and mini-dresses, the pinching and twisting (a bit like Burberry Prorsum SS2010), the knitted skirts, the bow head band, the color blocked cardigans, the draping and of course the illustrated prints. All in all the cleanness. Love x 100. The collection gives me a feeling of floating on cloud. Very dreamy indeed.

Nude?

This is why I’m a huge fan of Miroslava Duma’s style. She can pull off anything and make it looks very Mira. Every damn time! Not to mention the relaxed confidence, I think it’s her best accessory to every outfit. Did she almost had you fooled a second there? Looks like she’s only wearing a bra? (Well, you wish, Olav! ;)) The nude and black combination is so classy with a twist, and the way she wears her Clubmaster sunglasses by Rayban. Awesome!

Spring Fever With Addison #2

How freakin awesome isn’t this Midnight silk biker jacket by Christopher Kane? As I continue teaming up the Topshop Addison Taupe Wedges as promised with different styling and I stumbled upon this multicolored jacket in the style of Kane’s signature print which I think works great with the wedges. The sunglasses by Emmanuelle Khan have that perfectly St. Tropez glam factor, the denim trend is difficult to avoid this season and this loose fit short sleeved shirt from Monki looks so comfortable, the high-waist leather shorts are actually black if Proenza Schouler was to decide (since I didn’t find a good photo of the brown ones I had in mind, some editing had to be done), the Yves Saint Laurent charm necklace reminds me that summer will come, along with the sea turquoise colored ring by Isabel Marant and last but not least, the oversized Alexa bag by Murberry is the perfect everyday bag in the classic chestnut color.

Spring Fever With Addison #1

I have a weakness for taupe shoe wear, and these Addison Peep Toe Wedges by Topshop is no exception. So simple and clean with an edge. I love them so much that I’m going to do a styling series of different outfits I’d wear the wedges with for the coming spring. A little inspiration for all of us and a kick-start while we wait for the spring weather to arrive. First out is a romantic style in dusty colors  with peach and gold details. The Fendi bag is my personal new classic favorite bag this season, the gold cuff by Aurélie Biderman is amazing and the sunglasses is already a part of my growing sunglasses-for-every-occasion collection.

Bella Milano

I have to stop checking my Twitter because I get so envious of everyone who is in Milan for Fashion Week. Even though I haven’t spent that much time in Milan I fell instantly in love with the city when I went there last spring on impulse. I think it ranks high on my top favorites cities list. Besides from the beautiful architecture I love the people and the whole atmosphere. Italian culture is adorable! Luckily Tommy Ton is keeping up the good work shooting fabulous photos from Milan. Thank you, Ton!

The Selby

Saturday, February 27th, 2010

Recently got acquainted with The Selby through Kanye West‘s new art and culture blog. The Selby is a project driven by Tom Selby, a photographer and illustrator, who offers an inside view of creative individuals and their personal space from Paris to Tokyo to Los Angeles to Milan and so on. As the stalker I am, I’m always curious about how and where people live and work, so this is very enjoyable flickering through all the photos of the different spaces including a short interview with each person. I’m also intrigued by the photos of tiny details stating the individuals favorite items or personality. Think I have to buy Selby’s book, The Selby is In Your Place, which will be released in May. Here’s a few of my favorites, a shocker that they’re all situated in New York.

Fashion Week Syndrome

Monday, February 22nd, 2010

I’m having major cravings for a new bag nowadays. I think it’s the FWS (Fashion Week Syndrome). Almost like PMS, instead of big cravings once a month, the cravings for new luxury and beautiful things appear extra heavy twice a year together with all the inspirational photos documented everywhere from the Fashion Weeks all over.

I wouldn’t say no thanks to a customized Hermès Birkin covered in mosaic sequins…

..a funky green Givenchy Nightingale

..or a soft textured leather YSL Downtown in sand.

I Would If You Would

This is what you will find below my winter coat today. Stockholm is freezing cold, I tell you. The girls at school even commented on that it’s the first time they’ve seen me in a thick jacket. Hah. Not that I spent much time at Uni today. I overslept for my first lecture. Ooops! After a few technical problems I finally made the deadline for the essay submission. Went back home and almost cleaned my to do list for this week, and now I’m soon off to a coffee date.

Of all the people I’m actually inspired by Andreas and this outfit today. Don’t get me wrong! Andreas’ style is surprisingly perfect! It’s just a fact that I’m seldom inspired by the opposite sex, obviously sometimes it happens. I have to admit I shop at the H&M or Urban Outfitters department for men at times, although I’m not wearing any male clothes today, the elements are still the same based on the denim shirt layered with a blazer. I know I’m not as good looking and handsome as Andreas, but hey, give me a chance! ;)

Ka-Chung

Cutie and cover girl at the moment, Alexa Chung, is sending a photo from her phone every day in February to Vogue to document her outfits in the ‘Today I’m wearing…” section. The first ones are from Buenos Aires and the latter from her home in London. I find it difficult not to like her very simple, yet perfectly chic with a personal hint, style. After all, she even got a bag over at Mulberry named after herself. Luckily for that, because I know I speak for a lot of girls when I say we love the Alexa bag very much.

No surprise that her collaboration with the American brand Madewell reflects a collection of a big dose of cool and fun with Chung’s cuteness on top of it. Check out the Alexa Chung for Madewell collection over at Nylon. I love how the styling of the socks makes the perfect quirky detail!
