I Just Came To Say Hello

Hello! Long time no blogging. I’m not going to give you a speech about what I’ve been “busy” doing lately. I’ve simply haven’t had my computer with me at all times, hence lack, uhm…no blogging.

I recently welcomed rainy fall with my new favorite blouse with dog print. And with fall comes new adventures. I’ve started my journalism studies in Oslo now and so far I’m satisfied. Life is more routines, but I like it. Routines mean more time to nourish fashion which I will be sharing with you here of course.

Hello! Lenge siden sist!

Regnet kom først, deretter kom høsten i år.

Another Day

My day off from work has been spent catching up with Emilie, writing, picking up my phone new and repaired after the screen broke the other day, reading for my upcoming exam and treating myself with Vogue during the breaks. Boring, but productive days. That’s how we roll nowadays!

Come Back Kid

I’m finally back in business after being absent on the everyday life and social scene for over a week due to illness. It’s been b-o-o-o-ring, on the contrary it’s much more fun doing daily chores now, for example working out. I’m celebrating my come back with one of my top 3 favorite color combinations: navy, red, denim and gold. The colors go perfectly with my beloved Marc by Marc Jacobs clutch in canvas which I tend to forget now and then.

Skjerpings!

Hang With Me

Wednesday, October 27th, 2010

October has been a quiet month for Natalieology so far. Life has gotten the best of me and I’ve been occupied with everything else than fashion in an inspiring sense. I hope the rest of October and November will bring back that inspiration and lust for fashion, not that fashion never is a part of my everyday, but some days or weeks other less shallow and superficial parts of life catch my attention more. ;)

Until next time, I’m looking forward to get my beloved Canon G11 back from the workshop. We have been apart for too long now. I might cover it with a cute bow like this when we reunite.

I want to go shopping for new underwear. The cold weather makes us cover ourselves up in clothes and the more reason to wear pretty underwear below.

I must curl my hair. Just because the length is right.

Patching Up

Excuse me for hiding myself. It’s been another long day and luckily another weekend ahead. Casual and comfortable outfits are key when days pass by like this. I love the contrast of short knitted tops combined with high waist trousers. Chic and comfy, just the way I like it at the moment. And yeah, I love the patches on the sweater. Patches are the cutest and most nostalgic details in my book.

Today Is The Day

Sunday, September 12th, 2010

Today I want to…

..read books

…play around with the camera

..hang around on a bench

..wear dark red lipstick

..inhale the smell of a fresh cigarette

..wear a dove on my head

Photos: weheartit.com

..and be with the person who fills my tummy with butterflies and makes it tickle all over. Heck. I think I just might do all of it! ;)

Shoe News

Sunday, September 5th, 2010

Photos: Private

Sorry my absence on the world wide web lately. Spent most of my hours of the day at work, meeting up with people before, under and after work, catching up on all sorts of reading and planning other practical stuff that life often demands of us.  My internet hours have in other words consisted of half an hour or two in bed before sleep or checking e-mail and Facebook on my cellphone. Enough of the “I so have a life outside my blog” stuff. My work place is filled of fall news in the shoe department. Here’s a few of my favorites of the boots. I’ve already bought a pair yesterday. Guess which one?

The September Issue

Tuesday, August 17th, 2010

Photo: Private

Have you remember to buy the September Issue yet, ya’all?! The best Vogue issue there is of the year. I’m reading my way through the UK version for a start. Can’t remember the last time I just spent my day at the coffee shop enjoying a fresh brewed cup of latte with a hint of mint or cinnamon sirup and reading newspapers and magazines. Today I finally had a day off to do such before I was joined with good company and we continued strolling the streets of Oslo when the sun peaked through the skies talking about everything and nothing. It was nice not running from place to place and being a busy bee all day through for once. And yeah, notice how my Balenciaga Blueberry match the dishes, the blueberry muffin and the Vogue cover. Such a blue thread and so not planned. Promise!

Yummy! Barbeint var han også. Må bare elske Oslo by og avslappede tirsdager.

G11

I know it’s my excuse every time this blog goes into quiet and boring modus, but this week has been busy busy busy. Actually, I started early this week replying no thanks to social invitations. Enough said! It’s reaching the end of the week soon and for me the adventures are just beginning. I’m attending Hovefestivalen next week and I’m already leaving on Sunday to our rented house. Festival fashion is so inspiring and one of my favorites during the summer, so I’ll definitely try to update you as often as I can and I promise I’ll report back with festival outfits of my own and spotted ones. It’s going to be easy peasy now that I picked up my brand spankin’ new Canon G11 camera today. Thank you, daddy!

Set Sail To Oslo

Friday, June 4th, 2010

Photo: Private

The sailor jumpsuit is on and it’s officially summer for me! Had my last exam today and I’m leaving Stockholm for Oslo for the summer tonight. It’s funny how you wait for this day to come and then when it arrives it feels…strange. Right now I’m actually hesitant when it comes to leaving Stockholm, but on the other side I’m looking much forward to return to the Oslo life. Pros and cons. Ship’o'hoi! See you in Oslo!

Undisclosed Desires

While I know the beach season is arriving too closely, morning work outs are for me more therapy and the best way to start a morning off. Too bad I usually sleep through my three snooze alarms. This morning was an exception and while I was assuming that I had to drag my feet after me to complete the morning run, the feet and legs were dragging me instead. Oh boy, it felt great! While I was running the thoughts were running along in my head and I was reflecting over my coming essay in the last course of this year. Did you guess that all those great ideas were popping through my head like a popcorn in a microwave? Well, guess again. The ideas for the research and writing of the essay weren’t flowing like the beats on my iPod, but every other thought of writing was.

Writing is what I want to do the rest of my life. Write private personal entries about my feelings, thoughts, closures, relations and my come and go existent love life, write about music, fashion, photography, art, culture and everything else that catches my interest, finish writing on my secret book and I even like writing essays for school. Geek? Pretentious? Fine by me! I will save you the headache and pass writing poems though.

When I don’t write I like reading everything, where the inspiration often lies. So when I came home from my run and enjoyed my second cup of coffee, breakfast and the latest issues of Norwegian Elle and SVA Magazine, it was a pleasure opening them both. Probably my favorite magazines so far this month because of the texts, interviews and that tiny depth I often miss in many other fashion magazine. The great editorials and materialistic parts are a bonus, although it often is the opposite because fashion is superficial, but actually not that shallow as we tend to think.

Anyone actually bother to read all this? I guess not. Text doesn’t belong to fashion blogs, que?

Spring Time

Monday, April 26th, 2010

Photo: Private

Lately I’ve been wearing glasses, made new friends, drunk too much cava, been to places I shouldn’t had visit, made a home video at 4 am on the way to the after-party, laughed my ass off, came home with souvenirs from the streets, “walked of shame” to the store on Sunday morning to buy ice cream, started drinking again and fell asleep after a couple of gin and tonics  and missed the summer opening of my favorite Sunday party concept. In other words, it’s officially spring! Choo-choo, I’m back on the fun train!

Passion + Obsession

Sunday, April 4th, 2010

Photo: weheartit.com

Love is passion, obsession, someone you can’t live without. If you don’t start with that, what are you going to end up with? Fall head over heels. I say find someone you can love like crazy and who’ll love you the same way back. And how do you find him? Forget your head and listen to your heart. I’m not hearing any heart. Run the risk, if you get hurt, you’ll come back. Because, the truth is there is no sense living your life without this. To make the journey and not fall deeply in love – well, you haven’t lived a life at all. You have to try. Because if you haven’t tried, you haven’t lived. (William Parrish from Meet Joe Black)

I hope everyone is having a fabulous Easter. Personally, I went to work a few hours yesterday, besides from that I’ve tried enjoying a few days off everything. No school work, less internet, no specific plans that include a time schedule, no lunch/dinner plans, no stress. Just living life on the carefree side and enjoying it with people I adore.

My recent posts were dull already before I went on a Easter break. I know. Sometimes my mind just wanders off in the dust of busy days and I go all absent. I just hate blogging just to blog. Then I could just start blogging about my dinner already, and we know those posts are b to oring. Zero depth, soul or inspiration. If I want food inspiration I watch the tv-show Halv Åtta Hos Mig. I’ll get the bloglovin’ feeling back before I know it, because exactly like love, my interest for fashion (that is what this blog mainly is about) is all about passion, obsession, something I can’t live without.

Piece Of Chaos

Tuesday, March 30th, 2010

Photos: Private

Welcome to my clothing chaos! I’m moving my things from my apartment today at the same time I’m trying to pack for two more nights at an empty apartment, plus for the home trip to Oslo on Thursday. Desperately I’m trying to make the numbers sum up in this big chaos. During this moving process I realized I actually have a enough of everything. This is just a part of my wardrobe since there’s actually more at home in Norway and this part doesn’t have any problem filling up my living room at the moment. Like these headbands, I think I’ve used one of them since I moved to Stockholm. Hallo, space occupiers! I don’t think I need to go shopping for years now. At least I’ll try to resist.

Life Is Short

Monday, March 15th, 2010

Photo: weheartit.com

Oslo is treating me very well. It’s almost like I don’t get what I’m doing in Stockholm when I’m home nowadays, but I know when I’m back in Stockholm tomorrow morning I’ll fall in love with the coolest city in Scandinavia all over again.

The internet at home has been absent the last few days, so have my head and mind. I might have left them on the dance floor or in the sambucca shots out on Saturday night. Exam on Wednesday and thousands other things to fix when I get back in Sweden, so I’m enjoying the smell of coffee and cigarettes in the morning as long as I still can. Only coffee for me (for the record) and who thought I’d enjoy the smell of cigarettes? All the things love does to you. My head will be back with you on the blogsphere before you know it!

One Day In My Life

Thursday, March 11th, 2010

Photo: Private

Not much interesting going on here. This has been some what my view from the kitchen all day: Paris fashion literature, the best latte made by Natalie, water to compensate for the big amounts of coffee, chocolate filled buns from Deli De Luca, markers in cool colors, post-its and other student fun items. Hihi. I decided to take the train home to Oslo yesterday to continue reading for my exam next week away from Stockholm, and mostly to get some love and nurturing from my mom and loved ones. Missed them!

Now I have to continue my reading about the picture of Paris before it was established as the fashion capital of the world, then I’m running off for a few hours at work. Yes, I’m so lucky who get to work almost every time I’m back home. No sarcasm intended there. I love my job and my friends here. I heart Oslo!

Thank You 2009

Sunday, January 3rd, 2010

Thought I’ll give you a bit personal insight on my life and share some highlights of year 2009 with you.

JANUARY had a great start with Fred Falke at Blå with the girls and set the tone for exciting events and clubbing for the coming months. Random party with the old gang and the girls from work and the fun had just begun!

january

FEBRURARY was amongst other spent in London shopping, partying, artsy’ing, eating too much and being stuck in the city because of snow chaos. To top the month off I fell in love and Alan Braxe came to Oslo.

february

MARCH made time for more travelling. A spontaneous trip to Milano with the fun people resulted in spring fever and The Killers in concert. True story!

march

APRIL was mostly spent working and cuddling besides from the usual partying during the Easter. Baked a lot of my famous buns with topping and sprinkles and ate a lot of candy.

april

MAY was actually too good for words. Too much fun, too much bonding, too much personal drama, but all in all the time of my life. I cut 20 cm of my long hair, had flowers in my hair, attended birthdays every weekend, had a bottle of cava a day and regular trips to the park for chill outs. Norway won Eurovision and I hosted a successful party the same night with the greatest people in town. Continued the next morning with more cava and celebrated the best 17th of May (National Day in Norway) of the century! Fun times!

may

JUNE was hot and sizzlin. Besides from the normal summer and spontaneous fun the month ended with a totally awesome festival week at Hovefestivalen. Saw a bunch of bands, djs and artists on top of other relaxing activities like tanning, laughing and consuming beer.

june

JULY was spent moving around. Worked as usual, partied as always, got addicted to Lemon Breeze and had the best one festival day at Oslo Live with all my loved ones. Every Sunday was also spent at Skaugum feeding my feet with Footfood and freaky stalkers.

july

AUGUST was full of turbulence and fun. I tried making the most out of my last weeks in Oslo by partying hard and coping with drama. Had a goodbye party, packed my bags and moved to Stockholm on my own without a place to stay or certain plans.

august

SEPTEMBER arrived and I managed to fix apartment and studies in a week. I was quickly adapting to a new life in a new country all by myself. Spent too much time at IKEA. Luckily my first visitor came before I could say Stockholm.

september

OCTOBER made time for more visitors, kladdkake, Stureplan, reading and exam. Followed by a trip home to see my precious, work and celebrate my birthday in advance.

october

NOVEMBER was a tough economic month and the activities were boring. Spent most of my time being ill, but highlighted the month with a spontaneous trip home to Oslo to surprise two of my best girlfriends on their birthday. Totally success, cakes in my bag, ‘Pussycat Rocks’, dj bonding and lots and lots of fun!

november

DECEMBER was filled with even more illness and a few more visitors who made Stockholm a nice place to be. Had evenings with Idol at my place with the girls and ended Stockholm 2009 with Fashion Networks party followed by an early flight home to Oslo the next morning. Enjoyed Christmas to bits with bestfriends, beer, cava, dancing and other social fun activities on top off too much work. Spent New Years Eve with people who love me and whom I love back.
